Product Description
Vermiculite is a natural mineral from the group of micas, formed mainly by silicates of iron and magnesium. Classification by size and heat treatment (exfoliation) allows the mineral to expand up to 12 times its original volume. Exfoliated Vermiculite is light, clean, and possesses high thermal and acoustic insulation values. It is fireproof, insoluble in water, and has an exceptional ability to absorb liquids.
Vermiculite is widely used as a growing media for seed starting and rooting propagated cuttings because of its sterile nature and ability to retain moisture without encouraging damping-off.

Usage Tips: Adding vermiculite to soil conditions and lightens it, promoting anchorage for young root systems. It enables plants to easily absorb ammonium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium.
❓
Frequently Asked Questions
What is expanded vermiculite?
Expanded vermiculite is a natural silicate mineral that has been heat-treated to expand up to 12 times its volume, resulting in a lightweight, sterile, and absorbent material.
Is vermiculite safe for seed germination?
Yes, it is ideal for seed starting because it is sterile, retains moisture effectively, and helps prevent damping-off diseases in young seedlings.
How does vermiculite improve soil quality?
It conditions and lightens the soil, improves aeration, and helps the soil retain essential nutrients like potassium and magnesium for plant growth.
Can vermiculite be used for fire protection?
Yes, due to its refractory properties and high thermal stability, it is used in passive fire protection and for manufacturing fire-resistant boards.
What is the pH level of your vermiculite?
Our expanded vermiculite typically maintains a neutral to slightly alkaline pH level between 7 and 9.
What packing options are available?
We provide standard 50L, 80L, and 100L bags, which can be further packed into ton bags or on pallets depending on shipping requirements.
